CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 80(FIN) was before the Senate on reconsideration. Senator Hoffman moved the following Letter of Intent: Letter of Intent for CS for SENATE BILL NO. 80 (FIN) It is the intent of the Legislature that passage of this bill will not reduce rural trooper coverage. Senator Kelly objected. Senator Donley moved the following amendment to the Letter of Intent: Delete: "rural" There being no objection, the amendment to the Letter of Intent was adopted. Senator Kelly withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, the Letter of Intent as amended was adopted. 1995-04-11 Senate Journal Page 0981 SB 80 The question to be reconsidered: "Shall CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 80(FIN) "An Act relating to police protection service areas in certain unified municipalities; and to police protection provided by the state in certain municipal areas" pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSSB 80(FIN) Third Reading - On Reconsideration YEAS: 14 NAYS: 5 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Adams, Donley, Duncan, Frank, Green, Hoffman, Leman, Lincoln, Miller, Pearce, Rieger, Salo, Sharp, Torgerson Nays: Ellis, Halford, Kelly, Phillips, Taylor Excused: Zharoff and so, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 80(FIN) passed the Senate on reconsideration and was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
